Perry Davis Associates
Perry Davis Associates (PDA) is a New York City based fundraising consulting firm serving American and international not-for-profit organizations. It has raised tens of millions of dollars for hundreds of clients since its inception in 1986.
The Challange
PDA needed re-branding after 18 years of operation, including a fresh modern logo, business cards and stationary as well as a new website. In addition, they required the design of an advertisement for which they had purchased space in a major New York City newspaper.
The Solution
After meeting with PDA to discuss its needs, we put together a design brief outlining our recommendations for the complete re-branding of its business. We started by focusing on its logo which would serve as the basis for the full corporate imaging. We suggested they simplify it by promoting the company as PDA, using a logo with bright colors and strong lines. We then created a complete corporate imaging package for them based on their new logo, including business cards and stationary.
Next, we proceeded to the development the new PDA website. We started by meeting extensively with PDA staff to help them develop the optimal architecture and organization of their website’s content. We then created a Flash opener movie for their homepage of a growing tree, evoking the growth PDA provides its clients. We also advised PDA to create the “Tip of the Month” feature that appears on their homepage. They now e-mail the tip on a monthly basis to help provide the firm, and its new website, with further exposure.
After completion of the website, we created PDA’s newspaper advertisement. We used images from its website to emphasize a singular style and familiar theme that would serve as a common thread in each medium they used to promote the company while reinforcing recognition of its new corporate image.
